The Phongsavanh Foundation has since March 2018 been working on a signature project known as the “ Harvest Vision & Experimental Farm ”. To be built in Longxan District, Xaysomboun Province on 23 Ha of land donated by the Phongsavanh group, the project aims to help the community there by introducing agri-technology into traditional farming methods and training farmers on using a state of the art training centre housed in Keosamy within the District of Longxan. The Harvest VX Farm undertake research on the best type of crops to grow given the unique soil and climatic conditions. Improvements to animal husbandry techniques is expected to provide for greater productivity with a view to improving incomes within the community. Community building efforts will also be brought to bear so that the social fabric of Longxan can be strengthened holistically.
